Service Learning

Where intelligence
meets integrity.

All students in grades 9–11 participate in monthly service-learning placements with community-based organizations. These experiences build essential soft skills such as time management, collaboration, communication, and initiative. Students serve in fields including education, health, food security, and the arts, allowing them to explore interests while contributing to the community.

As seniors, students complete a 100-hour service-learning capstone project with an organization of their choice. Seniors work with a community mentor and school advisor to design and carry out their project, gaining professional and career-specific skills. Many students exceed the required hours and are evaluated using a Career Readiness Rubric that measures growth in professionalism, communication, problem-solving, and responsibility. Some students continue working with their senior service site long after they graduate as volunteers or employees.
