Amy Biehl is one of only three charter schools in Albuquerque to be designated an Early College High School (ECHS) by the New Mexico Public Education Department. As an ECHS, we offer all students the opportunity to simultaneously earn a high school diploma and a college-level credential and/or degree. This program includes meaningful work-based learning experiences that align with dynamic sectors of New Mexico’s economy, and a structured Career and Technical Education (CTE) sequence that leads to credentials that are recognized by business and industry. Students get experience and college credits in areas such as health sciences, finance, marketing, law, and much more.

The Early College High School program focuses on low-income youth, first-generation college attendees, English Language Learners, ethnically diverse students, and other young people underrepresented in higher education, and establishes formalized partnerships with colleges and community partners that foster shared responsibility for student success. Together, we uplift our communities.
