ABHS is a highly collaborative and intellectually stimulating charter school that strives to expose meaningful opportunities for our diverse student population, while supporting them along their road to college. In the heart of downtown Albuquerque, we serve 300 fantastic students that commute from all areas of the city. Our diverse student population deserves the best instruction Albuquerque has to offer, and we always are on the lookout for talented instructors and support staff.

ABHS Job Opportunity – Finance Director

ABHS Job Opportunity – Finance Director

Amy Biehl High School is currently seeking a Full Time Finance Director. Minimum requirements include an Associate Accounting Degree with three years of accounting/bookkeeping experience in a public school business office OR a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. Additional requirements include possession of or ability to obtain a NM School Business Officials License with the NM Public Education Department, proficiency in fund accounting with software experience, and intermediate skills with Excel and MS Word. Creativity and problem solving skills a must!

Responsibilities include long-range financial planning in collaboration with the Executive Director and Finance Committee, preparing and monitoring yearly budgets and managing cash flow. Accounting responsibilities include general accounting and journal entries, payroll and bank reconciliations. Position also requires the maintenance of personnel files, creating staff contracts and additional human resources responsibilities. The Finance Director is the school’s Chief Procurement Officer which includes managing purchase orders and vendor contracts as well as grant management and quarterly and yearly reporting. Some staff training and supervisory responsibilities are also required.
