Amy Biehl High School is committed to the idea that all students learn best when given the maximum amount of opportunity to learn alongside their peers. With this in mind, students that require specialized instruction in order to be successful in school receive the majority of that instruction in the regular education setting, whenever appropriate. Supports are then provided to these students based on their individual learning needs as determined by their IEP (Individualized Education Plan) team. These supports, ranging from one-on-one direct assistance to monitoring, ensure the implementation of the IEP within the Least Restrictive Environment so that the student is receiving FAPE (a Free, Appropriate, Public Education).
If you are a parent/guardian of a child who has received special education service during his or her academic career, you will find that the Amy Biehl staff and faculty are committed to challenging your child to excel, both as a scholar and as a citizen.
If you are a student who has received special education service in the past, you might be surprised at what our service looks like, but mostly, we believe you’ll be amazed at what it brings out in you.
