Indaba
Indaba: An old Zulu word meaning “business” or “matter.”
Indaba: A contemporary South African word “a gathering.”
Indaba: The largest room at Amy Biehl High School.
Indaba: A gathering of the entire Amy Biehl community every-other week to discuss the important business and other matters at the school.
Indaba: A community meeting run jointly by students and staff where people talk about and demonstrate what they are into: science, martial arts, community service, college classes, music, and poetry.
Indaba: The place you go to acknowledge another person in public for something good they have done, to make announcements and to hear members of the greater New Mexico and world community talk about important issues.
Indaba: The way a group of people come to remind each other what it means to be a scholar and a member of a community.
