Our Director of College Engagement, Niki McKay has left ABHS for a new challenge. Here is her goodbye note to our community.
The Amy Biehl High School community is close-knit, caring and absolutely unique. We are truly founded on the ideals that Amy represented and her family continues to uphold. That’s why it is hard to leave.
Eighteen years ago, the school took a chance on me. I was a brand-new high school teacher and after many years of teaching Humanities grades 9-12 and serving as the College Engagement Director, I have decided to accept a new position with Santa Fe Community College. My family and I will be relocating in the next few months. The timing of this move is regrettable, but the staff and students have gone out of their way to be gracious.
New beginnings are in the air (and lots of pollen) and I want to express my thankfulness for our Amy Biehl community. Liz Pfeffer will be leading the College Team and coordinating a beautiful graduation and Susie Smith will also devote her efforts to helping juniors and seniors “finish well” in quarter four.
My Amy Biehl education will serve me well in this next chapter. See you at Surreal Prom 2018!
