Highlights of the ABHS Trial of John Brown – 2017

Amy Biehl High School (ABHS) reenacts the trial of John Brown for his raid on the Harper’s Ferry armory every fall.  Students take on the roles of attorneys, court officials, witnesses and defendant.  After weeks of study and research they create a persona for their character.  All of their hard work in presented during the trials.  Each of the four humanities classes have a separate trial.  Sitting as a jury are ninth grade students.  The jurors determine the verdict based on the testimony and arguments they heard during the trial. here are some highlights from Michelle and Megan’s classes on the second day of trials.
