ABHS Students to Speak to NM Legislature

Amy Biehl High School students along with executive director Frank McCulloch will travel to Santa Fe to participate in the Speaker’s Table program.  The New Mexico Speaker’s Table is a free educational program made available to interested middle school and high school students in New Mexico.  The program allows teams of students to participate in government during the New Mexico legislative session and make a difference in New Mexico.  The students will impact legislation by taking a position on legislation and being active participants in front of a House Legislative Committee during the 2018 Legislative Session.

Students, through a sponsoring teacher, will choose one of the pieces of legislation proposed during the 2018 legislative session and speak at a legislative committee in which legislators will consider the legislation.
